Lindener Michael Perriera was sentenced to 12 months behind bars after he was found guilty of threatening behaviour and making use of abusive language.
The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The court heard that on Thursday, August 1, 2019, Perriera, who hails from Lot 25 Chombley Hill, Wismar, Linden, made use of threatening language towards Shonette Sansculotte, resulting in a breach of the peace.
He was sentenced to six months imprisonment for this offence and an additional 6 months on the threatening behaviour charge. The sentences will run consecutively; however, the sentence commenced from the time of his incarceration on August 8, 2019.
